The 69 Eyes - Reveal New Album Details

After announcing they were working on a new album, Finns The 69 Eyes have now revealed that they are currently putting the finishing touches in the studio on their 10th album. The album will be called X (the 10th) and it will come out in September/October 2012 through RCA/Sony Music in Finland and Nuclear Blast in Europe and North America. The single "Red" will precede the release of the full-length CD in August.

The 69 Eyes - New Video Online

"Dead N' Gone", the new video from Finnish metallers The 69 Eyes, has been made available online. The clip was filmed in October in San Francisco, California and was once again directed by Bam Margera.

"Dead N' Gone" comes off the band's latest album, Back In Blood, which was released on August this year via Nuclear Blast Records.

"Finnish Goth n´ Roll legends The 69 Eyes have announced a European headlining run early 2010! The support on this tour will come from Christian Death and Mandragora Scream. The 69 Eyes - New Song, Trailer And Video Online

The 69 Eyes have posted a new track, "Dead Girls Are Easy", on their MySpace page . The song comes off the band's new album, "Back In Blood", which is scheduled for release in Europe (excluding Finland) on August 28 via Nuclear Blast Records (September 15 in the U.S. through The End Records). The CD, which was tracked with the Grammy-winning producer Matt Hyde, features a guest appearance by Monster Magnet's Ed Mundell. The recording process took place both in Helsinki and Los Angeles.

"Dead Girls Are Easy" is described in a press release as "a nasty power anthem for sleazy pin-ups complete with a sing-a-long chorus aimed at those online chicks with the looks that kill!"

The 69 Eyes - New Album And Video

The cover artwork for the new album "Angels", of Finnish Gothic Rockers The 69 Eyes, has been posted online at this location.
Due in Finland on March 5 via Virgin/EMI, the CD was produced by Hiili Hiilesmaa and Johnny Lee Michaels ? the same team that was responsible for 2004's "Devils". The video for the album's first single, "Perfect Skin", was directed by Ralf Strathmann and was filmed in Hollywood in mid-October 2006. You can watch the clip here.
The additional tracks on the single are live versions of "Devils", "Christina Death" and "I Just Want to Have Something to Do" (originally by The Ramones) recorded at Whisky a Go Go in Hollywood in March 2006.

UNICEF Finland appoints new Goodwill Ambassador: JYRKI 69, SINGER OF THE 69 EYES

"Invited by the Board of Directors of UNICEF Finland Jyrki69, singer of the rock band The 69 Eyes, today signed an agreement of cooperation with the organization. Jyrki69 has done excellent UNICEF work as Spokesperson for the school campaign "Stolen childhood". "Stolen Childhood" is a campaign designed for schools, and the beneficiaries are children in West-African Benin, who run the risk of becoming trafficked.

During the ceremony, Executive Director Pentti Kotoaro of UNICEF Finland said that "the unselfish work of the Goodwill Ambassadors is a priceless resource to UNICEF. With their help the message of children's rights reaches audiences, to which we would not have access otherwise."

The Goodwill Ambassadors are UNICEFs messengers and spokespersons for children's rights. They commit to the goals of the organization and put children's issues on the agenda in their own field. Goodwill Ambassadors are volunteers for UNICEF. The Goodwill Ambassadors of UNICEF Finland are Eija Ahvo, Susanna Haavisto, Anna Hanski, Katri Helena Kalaoja, Rainer Kaunisto, Juha Laukkanen, Pave Maijanen, Eppu Nuotio, Micke Rejström, Jorma Uotinen, Eija Vilpas and Trio Töykeät, that is Iiro Rantala, Rami Eskelinen and Eerik Siikasaari.

International Goodwill Ambassadors are among others Harry Belafonte, David Beckham, Angelina Jolie, Robbie Williams, Angélique Kidjo, Ricky Martin and Sir Roger Moore, who is soon to visit Finland."

As his first UNICEF field trip Jyrki will visit Kenya in the end of August 2005.

The 69 Eyes - New Album on the way

Finnish goth-metallers THE 69 EYES are currently in pre-production for the follow-up to 2002's "Paris Kills", tentatively due late summer/early fall.

THE 69 EYES' "best of" CD, "Framed In Blood - The Very Blessed Of The 69 Eyes", and the group's first-ever DVD, "Helsinki Vampires", were issued on the same day last September. "Framed In Blood - The Very Blessed Of The 69 Eyes" is a compilation CD featuring THE 69 EYES' "goth 'n' roll classics," while "Helsinki Vampires" includes a live performance filmed at Tavastia in Helsinki in November 2002 along with all of the band's promo video clips and other extra material.
